Anse Chastanet Resort
November 27 - December 4, 2021

Travel to the far eastern Caribbean island of St. Lucia where rugged mountains and lush, green landscapes embody the romance and relaxed lifestyle we all dream of when planning a vacation. The diving here is second to none and contains some of the most diverse marine life found in the Caribbean islands.

Trip Leader: Bruce Goodwin

Known for its beaches and reef-diving, the island of St. Lucia is located in the eastern Caribbean between the islands of Martinique and St. Vincent, north of Barbados. Its dramatic twin coastal peaks, the Pitons, soar up from the sea, overlooking lush rainforests filled with waterfalls, wild orchids, giant ferns, and birds of paradise.

The Anse Chastanet reef starts just 30 feet from the water’s edge. A remarkable ecosystem, the reef is home to more than 150 different species of fish in 20-140 ft of calm, clear water. The boat dives are also not to be missed - dramatic walls beneath the majestic Piton Mountains, Superman's flight, a drift dive in the shadow of the Petit Piton, Coral Gardens and Jalousie under the Gros Piton, the wreck of the "Lesleen M", Anse La Raye and Anse Cochon to list a few. The dive center also has a Photo and Video Center - perfect for the underwater photographer and videographer!

Set on 600 tropical acres bordering two soft-sand Caribbean beaches, the environmentally-friendly Anse Chastanet includes the historical plantations where the resort grows its own organic produce. Partake in the many activities the island has to offer: yoga, snorkeling, tennis, sunset sailing, sea kayaking or jungle biking, hiking and bird-watching among the ruins of an 18th century colonial plantation. At the end of the day, retire to your hillside Superior room and take in the beautiful views of the Piton twin peaks and/or the Caribbean Sea from your private balcony.
