Snorkeling & Scuba
Nai'a Liveaboard
July 20-29th, 2020

Imagine snorkeling with Humpback whales in the warm waters of the South Pacific. Observe parents with newborn calves and males jockeying for mating rights, all while the mesmerizing sound of whale song surrounds you!

Trip Leader: Scott Griesser

In the world of adventure and dive travel, Tonga is one of those destinations that has yet to be discovered by the mainstream. This remote destination is one of the only places in the world where the government allows people to freedive with, snorkel with, and photograph Humpback Whales. The short flight from Fiji features tall hills, volcanoes, jungles, and sandy beaches, the perfect scenery to enthuse you for your adventure ahead!

Humpbacks migrate more than 5000 km from their feeding grounds in Antarctica to the Kingdom of Tonga to give birth, nurse, and mate where July-August is peak season for these amazing gentle giants. Few wildlife encounters measure up to that of being in the water with humpback whales. Imagine a sentient being twice the size of a school bus and eyes the size of dinner plates swimming peacefully alongside you. The sounds of their singing and courting one another is a phenomenal experience that resonates through your entire body. You will never forget your first encounter!
