Ocean First celebrates the majesty of sharks & manta rays on this unique adventure to Palau & Yap! Our very own Dr. Mikki McComb-Kobza of Ocean First Institute joins us to share her expertise on two of the ocean’s most beautiful creatures.

* Two spaces available *

The island nation of Palau was the first country in the world to establish a shark sanctuary, making a sincere commitment to protecting one of the ocean’s most important inhabitants. This sanctuary covers approximately 230,000 square miles of ocean, leading the world in shark conservation. Ocean First and Ocean First Institute celebrate this significant achievement with a collaborative adventure where our divers have the opportunity to dive with our very own shark scientist, Dr. Mikki McComb-Kobza. Not only will participants learn more about shark biology and behavior from Mikki’s on board presentations, they will have first hand experience seeing these majestic creatures in their natural habitat along Palau’s famed Blue Corner and other amazing dive sites!

Before traveling to Palau we will spend several days in Yap, one of the best places in the world to dive with graceful manta rays! Yap has a resident population of about 100 mantas who regularly visit cleaning stations where divers will have up close and personal interactions with these gentle giants! Both Palau and Yap offer unique cultural opportunities as well; betel nut, anyone? These are two of the most highly sought after dive destinations in the world and promises to be an extraordinary experience. This expedition will fill up quickly!
