CLASSES FOR AGES 6-36 MONTHS
Baby & Me:
- Prerequisites: None
- Built for 6-month to 36-month-old swimmers with a parent or guardian in the water. This class focuses on increasing safety in and around the water by practicing water safety skills such as back floating, wall skills, and safe exit routines. Through songs and games, this class introduces important foundational skills including kicking, pulling, and submersions while having fun. Repetition and consistency are key to helping each swimmer increase their comfort in the water, and we encourage every parent to set their own objective and move at their own pace.
- Final goal: achieve an underwater breath count of 10 seconds, swim three feet, grab the wall and climb out of the pool, and back float with assistance.
Aquababy:
- Prerequisites: Swim three feet, back float comfortably, and wait their turn.
- This class teaches independent rollover breath, windmill arms, and straight leg kicking using fun games and songs. Aquababy also focuses on teaching swimmers to be safe in the water by working on a number of safety skills in a fun environment.
- Final goal: swim seven feet with windmill arms and rollover breath.
