While your open water certification never expires, we all get a little rusty when we’re not doing something regularly. If it’s been over a year since you donned your scuba gear, we recommend taking our Scuba Skills Update before heading out to the open water. Our comfortable, 89º F indoor dive pool has a 12 ft. deep well that is perfect for brushing up on your dive skills. One of our highly trained dive professionals will review assembling and disassembling your gear, proper buoyancy skills, and emergency procedures.

Our Scuba Skills Update is three hours, one spent in the classroom reviewing dive theory and planning and the remaining two spent refreshing your skills in the pool. Students will be given a log-in for SSI's Scuba Skills Update online material, which must be completed before class. We recommend you bring any personal dive gear that you own, especially your own dive-quality mask, fins, and snorkel. However, if you don't own gear or would like to try out something new, all of the necessary class equipment is INCLUDED with the course fee. Group classes are regularly scheduled, and we can schedule private classes on an individual basis.

Has it been more than 10 years since your last dive? Feel free to call and one of our associates can help determine if this class will be enough or if we should consider an alternate path to refresh your skills.
