I thought our dive instructor was very knowledgable and brought his dive experience to the classroom which really made the lessons more relevant for me. I also liked that the classroom was right next to the dive pool. The staff is very friendly and helpful too. Planning on taking a dive refresher here before my next trip to Mexico!

I had a healthy bit of anxiety going into the course, but Matt, Bryan, and Mike made me feel so comfortable and confident through the whole process. The teaching was so informative and the knowledge I received also made me confident in my abilities. Matt is incredible and so patient, and I enjoyed every minute of it! I never thought I would be so excited to dive, and cannot wait for the adventures in my future! And I absolutely loved getting certified with my daughter, Hannah!!

Ocean First is simply the best dive center in Colorado. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to help with equipment questions and class suggestions. They even have a private, heated indoor pool! I love the atmosphere in the shop; everyone is always ready to talk about diving and get you excited for your vacation! I'm hooked!

Great class, I really like the option to come for practice on Wednesday nights since it will be a month or two before my open water dives. Kathy is great and really helped to make me more comfortable in the water.

I love the ocean but was nervous about getting started with scuba diving. After taking the Open Water Certification course through Ocean First, I was confident and excited to dive. The classes are small and the instructor took the time to educate me while peaking my interest about underwater life. I have been diving for years now and loving every adventure!

Bruce is an exceptional instructor. He is very knowledgeable with the subject matter and taught the class in an easy to follow and understandable method. His positive attitude, humor and sincere interest in diving was contagious! Everyone at Ocean First is amazing. From the person who answered the phone the first time I called to inquire about class, the sales staff who helped us purchase gear, to our amazing instructor Bruce Goodwin. All super helpful. Watching interactions between staff gave me the impression that everyone there loves their job! Family atmosphere is very obvious.

Love this dive shop. I did my open water classes in their onsite heated indoor pool. It was nice to have the classroom and pool so conveniently located in Boulder. The facility was great and my instructor really took the time to make sure I was calm ready for each new skill. I finished my open water certification on their group trip to Fiji with the same instructor. It was really helpful for me to have someone I trusted in the open water for the first time. It was a well organized trip with great accommodations and the underwater experience was one I will never forget. I will be training and traveling again with them soon!

After my first experience with OFD, I'll never look for another dive shop again! The staff was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, helping me find exactly the right equipment at a great price. I even got to try out the gear in their private indoor pool!

I've always loved snorkeling but was afraid to try diving because I'm uncomfortable under water. However, I decided to give diving a try because of the allure of seeing sea life 'up close.' The staff at Ocean First was beyond patient, and I am now a certified diver. And, most importantly, safety and confidence were constantly stressed in the process. Professional staff and really nice facilities for learning.

This really is one of the top dive shops I have been to. All 3 of my kids were certified by Ocean First Divers. They have a great facility with a indoor pool and instruction area. They worked really good with the kids to make sure they new the material and that they were comfortable in the pool. They really know about their equipment and are just great people.
