The Dairy Center for the Arts is hosting a lecture called Secrets of the Deep: Glorious Seaweed on March 8th.

Kathy Ann Miller, PhD, Senior Museum Scientist at the University of California Berkeley is considered to be one of the world's foremost authorities on seaweed. Her lecture will cover recent discoveries in the field, including concerns over climate change, invasive species, and more. Come early to view the exhibit "Holdfast: Seaweeds in a Time of Oceanic Change" by Jill Powers and photography by renowned ocean photographer John Weller.

The lecture will be preceded by the monthly "Blue Drinks" gathering of the Colorado Ocean Coalition in the Dairy's main lobby at 5:30 pm.
