Forget what traveling to the South Pacific used to be like – in the Solomon Islands it's still that way. These 900+ islands spread out across Oceania are laid-back, welcoming and surprisingly untouched. The Spanish navigator Álvaro de Mendaña was the first European to visit the Solomons and named the archipelago after the wealthy biblical King Solomon. From WWII relics scattered in the jungle to leaf-hut villages where traditional culture still thrives, the Solomons have much to offer. With scenery reminiscent of a Planet Earth documentary- volcanic islands, crocodile-infested mangroves, turquoise lagoons, vibrant reefs, and emerald forests, our journey back through the Solomons will be sure to delight even the most well-traveled explorers.
Join us on Wednesday, August 30th at 6:30pm. Hosted by some of Ocean First's all-stars: Amy, Graham, and Klara.
