Deb has shown an incredible amount of motivation to not only become a diver, but to truly learn about the complexities of the ocean environment and further her diving knowledge. Her constant smile, positive attitude, and eagerness to learn has made her a permanent part of the Ocean First family. We asked Deb a few questions to get to know her better:
Ocean First traveled to the Channel Islands in August 2018 for a unique, hands-on adventure in collaboration with renowned whale scientist Ari Friedlaender. While the whales didn't behave as the group had hoped, wine tasting, diving in the kelp forests with seals, and learning about whale research kept the group more than entertained. Read on for Amy's trip report.
Join us on Thursday, September 20th for The Wild, Weird World of Sharks with Dr. Mikki McComb-Kobza. Learn about this incredible and diverse species and how scientists like Mikki are trying to save them from extinction.
In a tour of Ecuador’s greatest hits, Ocean First recently traveled to species-rich islands of the Galapagos and the equally mythical Amazon River. Led by seasoned Ocean First veteran, Roger Young, and our newest trip leader, Kelly Faulkner, this trip turned out to be an incredible land and sea adventure.
